The Verde River and its tributaries have had many uses over time. We are working to restore habitat and flow to ensure that the Verde continues to flow for generations to come.
Friends of Verde River Greenway is the lead non-profit of the Verde Watershed Restoration Coalition (VWRC) a public/private partnership to implement the Cooperative Invasive Plant Management Plan, a strategy to remove invasive plants from the riparian habitat of the Verde Watershed. FVRG oversee all phases of VWRC including field crews and private landownership agreements.
The Verde River Exchange connects Verde Valley homes and businesses to help reduce the impacts of groundwater use on the Verde River and its tributaries.
